The Gary Air Show runs August 9 & 10, 2025.

Parking for the Gary Air Show opens at 9am. The planes take off at 11am and the show soars on until 3pm.

Park at Marquette Park, 1 North Grand Boulevard, Gary—just $40 for the day or $60 for the weekend. Prefer not to drive? Hop on a shuttle or take public transit!

The Gary Airshow soars over Marquette Park on Lake Michigan’s south shore in Gary, Indiana. For the best views, hit the beach or nearby park areas. Want a behind-the-scenes peek? Check out the staging area at Gary Airport.

Sorry, Fido—no cannonballs today! Only leashed service animals are allowed in the swimming area. All other furry (or feathered) friends will have to cheer from the sidelines.

  • Beach Towels – For impromptu picnics, comfy seating, or fanning yourself when the aircraft engines make you swoon.
  • Chairs – Because grass stains on your shorts are so last season.
  • Sunscreen – Sunburn is the only thing you don’t want taking off here.
