The Old Joliet Prison wasn’t exactly built for events like this, so our crews have to get creative—tight squeezes, tricky turns, and carefully working trailers through spots most trucks wouldn’t even try. We’re tying units down to keep everything secure and moving quickly to stay ahead of the day. It’s a lot happening behind the scenes, but that’s the job. And every once in a while, you catch yourself looking around, realizing you’re standing in the same place where movies like The Blues Brothers and Prison Break were once filmed. Navigating the tight spaces and rugged terrain around Old Joliet Prison added another layer of challenge, requiring careful maneuvering to safely place equipment in confined and historic areas without missing a beat.

Fast Pitches, Fresh Facilities

Ensuring guests had access to clean porta potties, handwash stations, and hand sanitizer stations was an important part of creating a safe and convenient experience for this historic baseball game. Being involved in an event that brought fans together for such a rare and memorable occasion felt like helping build the backstage framework of a living postcard.

With only two days to prepare for the Big House Ballgame, our team successfully delivered and positioned over 100 porta potties under a tight deadline and nonstop pressure. Coordinating routes, timing, and setup logistics required efficiency, teamwork, and the ability to adapt quickly to keep everything ready before game day crowds rolled in.
