We are looking for inventory specialists who bring unwavering professionalism and meticulous accuracy to the position and who have exceptional math and observation skills. The Inventory Coordinator can expect to work closely with management, develop and improve existing procedures and policies, prevent losses, and occasionally do some heavy lifting. Their other responsibilities include maintaining storage facilities, ensuring the accuracy of inventory records, compiling balance, price and cost reports, and doing weekly counts of all products.

Successful inventory specialists should have excellent interpersonal communication skills, a firm grasp of basic computer programs, and an ability to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Maintains consistent stock of inventory, ordering new stock up to a pre-authorized limit.
  • Establishes and maintains backup sources for high-demand items.
  • Assesses inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring delivery.
  • Provides inventory reports to Fleet Manager.
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with vendors.
  • Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made.
  • Manages and maintains inventory system.
  • Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.
  • Assists with periodic (at least annual) physical inventory audits.
  • Commute to different locations to pick up/deliver products.

Skill & Proficiencies:

  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products and other inventory software.
  • Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to navigate warehouse and reach items both high and low.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with computerized inventory systems required.
  • Forklift operator experience, preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
