Job Description

Are you a natural-born planner and organizer? Do you love to find a solution instead of a problem? Do you have a knack for talking with people? As a Dispatch Coordinator, you’ll serve as the direct line of communication for our drivers, helping them meet customer expectations in an ever-changing work environment.

The ideal candidate will need to be confident with a driver first mentality and have superior problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve customer-related issues and provide ETA as needed.
  • Answer radios and calls from drivers, assisting with requests and advocating for their needs.
  • Check the status of drivers throughout the day, assigning additional work as needed.
  • Communicate with the operations team, identifying potential route and service issues.
  • Assist in route administration by adding notes, re-sequencing stops, and updating geocodes.
  • Additional administrative duties such as closing of work orders, and reviewing driver hours, load sheets and work orders.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Data entry experience required
  • Office setting experience preferred
  • Self-motivated w/ superior attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and problem solve in stressful situations
