We are currently seeking a self-driven and highly competent Director of Operations to lead and influence our organization towards favorable growth, and to design and direct strategies that support and enhance overall organizational growth.

The ideal candidate for this position must possess a strong entrepreneurial drive, outstanding communication skills, strong leadership qualities, and excellent organizational skills. They should have a proven track record of streamlining organizational efforts, directing operational budgets, improving overall revenue, and directing business strategy with internal stakeholders, staff, and surrounding communities.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to oversee inventory needs and forecast accordingly.
  • Oversee staffing needs and time-off requests for operations team.
  • Conduct budget reviews and report cost plans to owners.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standard operation procedures (SOPs) to help maximize efficiency without overloading the organization’s internal capacity.
  • Develop data-driven goals for the management team and hold them accountable.
  • Coordinate weekly check-ins with branch managers, ensuring all operational activities remain on-schedule and on-budget.
  • Work closely with legal and safety departments, making sure operational activities remain DOT and OSHA compliant.
  • Review all pertinent information for large orders with corresponding account managers to ensure details are accurate and proper equipment and staff is available.
  • Coordinate trucks with the assistance of the fleet manager between various branches to ensure equipment is available when needed.
  • Collaborate with communications team to develop new training programs that empower staff with the knowledge and tools they need to succeed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in operations management, business administration, or related field
  • +5 years proven experience in an operations management position.
  • Highly trained in conflict management and business negotiation processes.
  • Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Some travel between various Midwest branches is required.
