How many restrooms will I need for my jobsite?
One portable restroom will accommodate up to10 workers per 40-hour workweek when serviced one time per week. This rate of 1 to 10 is also the ANSI standard for our industry.

What service is performed each week for my restroom that stays on route?
The Service Technician on your route will perform the following procedures to service your portable restroom:

  • Evacuate the holding tank 
  • Remove debris
  • Scrub and sanitize all surfaces including the walls, urinal, toilet seat, and floor
  • Add fresh water and chemical solution to tank
  • Spray deodorizer
  • Replenish supplies
  • Complete or schedule needed repairs
  • Sign and date service log sticker in each unit

What if my unit is inaccessible for service?
If we are unable to complete the service entirely, the Service Technician will make all reasonable attempts to service the unit(s), the unit will be cleaned, chemicals added and supplies restocked. A “Red Tag” will be placed on the unit to indicate that we were on site but not able to service entirely. Our office will have an authorization number and the reason for missed service if there is ever a question. You may request an additional service if needed or wait until your next scheduled route day at no additional charge.

How many restrooms will I need for my event?
We recommend that 1 unit will accommodate approximately 125 uses and that on average; a person will use the restroom one time every 3-4 hours. Please consider that if food or alcohol is being served you will need to increase your capacity by 15-20%. For any event open to the public, we recommend a minimum of 1 Extra-large Portable Restroom and 1 Baby Changing Station or 1 each per 20 regular restrooms. We also recommend one Portable Hand Wash Sink per every 2 food booths. How many uses will one portable restroom accommodate?
One portable restroom will accommodate approximately 125 uses. The 2 rolls of toilet paper provided in your unit will generally accommodate the same number of uses.

What additional options are available on my restroom?
The following additional options are available at your request to add to any of our restrooms:
Hand Washing Station with soap and paper towels, Hand Sanitizer, Tissue Seat Covers in mounted dispenser, lock and key, small heater (requires electricity), and light (requires electricity).

What are the trailer requirements needed upon delivery?
You will need to know the dimensions of the trailer that you are ordering and that you have adequate space for placement. Most of our trailers will require 3 20-amp (110 volt) electrical connections, via electricity or a generator. A fresh water, standard garden hose connection is preferred, however we have water-holding tanks available if needed. Trailers are fully functional and ready to use upon delivery and set-up. Service and attendants are available to meet your specific needs.

I would like to order a restroom trailer, what do I need to know?
The Emerald Oasis Luxury Restroom Trailer is perfect for any upscale event where quality professional facilities are needed. It provides private restrooms with porcelain toilets, marble sinks, air-conditioning and many other luxury ammenities.
The Blue Star Portable Restroom Facility is a very versatile trailer for many types of projects. It offers a flexible floor plan to designate 2 stalls to either the men’s side or the women’s side depending on your ratio of men and women that will be using the facility.
Both styles are 28’ trailers and will accommodate approximately 500-1000 people. They are available for 1 day, multi-day events or for long-term projects. They are available for delivery within Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin and Kentucky. Other trailers are available for jobsites. Trailers are best placed in areas where the estimated number of people using the facilities is known. Our Sales Representatives can help determine which trailer will best service your needs.
