POSITION: 		Service Technician (Driver) 

REPORTS TO: 		Operations Manager
CLASSIFICATION: 		Non-Exempt/Union

BASIC FUNCTION:
To provide portable sanitation facilities and their respective services in a
sanitary and efficient manner, while maintaining the Service Sanitation
reputation for top quality and excellent customer service. This position
reflects our image of the company in the public eye, and is crucial on the
follow through of all services that the company provides.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Abide by ALL D.O.T. regulations and company policies as required by the position.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Service portable restrooms and other equipment to SSI standards of service.
• Pick up and deliver units to customers as required.
• Maintain routes, whether servicing or picking up and delivering, such that you are providing high quality products and excellent customer service.
• Document complete route information and required paperwork daily.
• Provide Dispatch with information when restrooms are not serviceable, deliverable, or unable to be picked up as scheduled.
• Handle problems that arise on route in an efficient and professional manner.
• Portray professionalism to the customer by reporting to work in SSI provided uniforms.
• All other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Chauffeur's license is required.
• Valid Class B CDL with Air Brakes and Tanker endorsements is preferred.
• Excellent driving record – no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years; no reckless or alcohol convictions in last 7 years.
• Driving skills - Ability to navigate vehicle in tight city streets; comfortable toting trailers.
• Knowledge of DOT safety rules and procedures (regardless of license held.)
• Current Medical Examiners Certificate (regardless of license held.)
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Mapping and navigation skills.
• Ability to lift 80 lbs.
• Drug free.
