Equipment & Technology

Service Sanitation owns in excess of 10,000 portable sanitation units, 100 vehicles, and 60+ restroom and shower trailers, making us the largest portable restroom provider in the Midwest.

SSI has state of the art technology and equipment to better serve our customers. SSI’s equipment, specifically with regard to restroom trailers and water systems, remains unmatched by any competitor in the Midwest. We have trained sanitation specialists who build, maintain, and service our restroom and shower trailers. 

Additionally, SSI also has extensive experience in providing fencing, dumpsters, and street sweeping services, allowing customers the ease of meeting their various on-site needs by working with one dependable vendor.

Best Business Practices

SSI maintains its reputation as an active member of the Portable Sanitation Association International (PSAI). PSAI serves as the governing body of the portable sanitation industry. SSI has played an integral role in providing input regarding legislative initiatives proposed by this organization.

In terms of corporate giving, SSI has made a concerted effort to contribute its services to the greater Chicago area and beyond. SSI continually donates portable restroom units to non-profit charity organizations whose mission aligns with giving back to the local community. Moreover, SSI has taken the initiative to respond to larger national emergencies, such as Hurricane Katrina. After this disaster struck in 2005, SSI sent a fleet of service technicians and trucks, being one of the first to respond to this disaster situation.
